Drowsy Water Ranch

Drowsy Water Ranch in Granby, CO, is a family affair.  The ranch has been owned and operated by the Fosha’s since 1977, and the warmth of family seeps into every detail of operation.  The Fosha’s make it easy for families to slip into the ranch like it had been your home for the past 30 years.

On a dude ranch in Colorado, you get to step back in time to a way of life that has been preserved in Colorado for the last 130 years.  Granby is known for it’s homesteading roots, and it’s the families that have preserved this adventurous way of life.  The mountains of Colorado are still wild, even as they are close to population centers like Denver.  Combine the local and family feel of Drowsy Water Ranch with the wildness of the past and present, and you have a vacation experience from another time that slows down the world and reduces it to it’s most beautiful, essential elements.

For a week at Drowsy Water, you can keep your horse at a gentle walk, or gallop the hills in a cowboy hat (like you may have dreamed about when you were a little kid watching Westerns.)  All of the horses are bred, raised and trained on the ranch-they’re part of the family too!  For that days that you are feeling a little saddle weary, you check out trout fishing, golf, hunting, or even swimming in the headwaters of the Colorado River.
