Try the Doobie-doobie Hairdo!

Interested in trying a local beauty regime next time you are visiting the Dominican Republic? Try a Doobie-doobie! While it may look like a portable antenna or a device to communicate with aliens – it is in fact the most effective way to keep your hair free of frizz in the tropical weather. Chances are you will spot a couple (if not hundreds) of women in doobie-doobie fashion around the Caribbean. Want to learn how to do one yourself? Just follow these simple steps for doobie-doobie success:

1. Part your hair from the crown of your head to the nape of your neck

2. Comb half of your hair forward as you brush it close to your head

3. Comb or brush the hair clock-wise as you work, adding a bobby pin every 2 to 3 inches

4. Continue circling the hair around the head and remove and reinsert pins until all of the hair is locked in

5. Remove pins after a few hours and flaunt your perfect looking hair!
