Spike Round UP – May 1-10th, South Padre Island, Texas

The Triple S Invitational – May 30-June 5, 2009. Cape Hatteras, North Carolina

2009 marks the 4th year of the Triple-S Invitational, scheduled for May 30th to June 5th 2009.  This event invites the world’s best kiteboarders to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina to compete in the unique free ride format that pushes the sport further each year. The Triple-S will feature some of the top pro riders in the world riding for their prospective kite and board manufacturers.

Kite the Channel In September 2009, Andrew Ward, a Kite Surfer from Poole in Dorset will be attempting to Cross the English Channel from Alderney to Poole. To the organizers knowledge the Alderney to Poole route has never been attempted by a Kite Surfer before. The distance between the 2 points is just over 70 nautical miles, which will make it the longest English Channel crossing ever attempted for charity using a kite and board.
