August, 2006 Photo Contest
Where Was This Photo Taken? Last Month's Winner Well, the picture we ran in our July issue had you all stumped. Many of you guessed Argentina, and we don't blame you - those jagged peaks do resemble mountains Los Glaciares National Park. BUT, these crags can be found in the U.S. - the picture featured the Whitney Cirque, taken on Mt. Whitney in California, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states. Thanks again to Eythan Sontag for sharing his great picture.
Join Pepy to Cycle Through Cambodia
"Adventurous Living, Responsible Giving," is the motto PEPY Ride founders Daniela Papi and Greta Arnquist chose for their organization, a non-profit with a growing offering of adventure travel cycle tours through Cambodia. This energetic, ambitious organization helped build the PEPY Ride School in Siem Reap in 2005 and now continues to revisit the school's students on its cycle tours.
From November 18-26, they'll travel from Siem Reap, home of UNESCO ...
